Ever since I watched the trailer of Ajay Devgan’s “Tanaji – The Unsung Warrior” movie, I couldn’t stop thinking about ‘Kalamaharshi Baburao Painter’!
Why do I remember Baburao Painter ?? How did he relate to the movie “Tanaji-the unsung warrior”? It is natural to ask such questions.
While Indian Cine industry was still in the diaper, Baburao produced the first ever film on the legend of Tanaji Malusare! That too using his hand crafted desi camera! In those days buying (importing) a camera was extremely expensive affair. To overcome this challenge Baburao understood the reverse mechanism of the projector and made a camera all by himself. Inline today there were no internet. Imagine how he would have gathered all the information required to make a camera. How he would have fetched all the required gears and parts required to build a camera! Yet he crafted a great camera all by himself in pre-independence era!
Later, when he got the adequate money, Baburao imported an expensive camera, just to dismantle it and learn it’s mechanism! He assembled it back and then started using it. Would you brave such act even in these days when one is having plenty of money and plenty of knowledge in our hands?
When Kalamaharshi directed Subedar Tanaji Malusarevar’s movie was screened in Mumbai, it was gone housefull! British had to deploy the forces to manage and control the crowd. That cinema attracted British government’s attention. Since then Britishers levied entertainment taxes on all the cinemas.
Gives another reference on the go,
It was no surprise that in the Kalamaharshi directed “Kichwadh” movie, there was no special effect that the cinematographer issued a notice giving reasons why you should not be arrested by the British authorities. 😅😅
The scene became so overwhelming that people would wander around the theater.
Baburao had to be brought to the British authorities with a handful of “kicks”. 🙂
Even after being told not to be satisfied with it, Baburao had to demonstrate how he made the sine. And this is how the censor board sat on the cinema for the first time since the film. 😉
Manually, Lokmanya Tilak gave Baburao the title “Cinema Kesari”.
(I don’t remember the movie Kesari or the movie Kesari. But the word Kesari was exactly that.)
I posted a post on Baburao.
Maharashtra’s art field is forehead, Maharashtra’s cinema is ideologically void !!
Both forgot about Baburao Painters ……. !!!!
I still stick to this sentence today.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An alert on the go 1 : Subedar Tanaji Malusare was not jumping on this mountain, dancing or dancing in the movie which broke all the records of the ticket-breaking and entertained for the first time. The Marathi-Hindi cinema does not have to inherit the baptism of their own area to learn that all the characters of the historical characters can be riot on ticketing.

(Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj and Rajaram Maharaj have endless blessings not only on Kolhapur but also on this country. It was only during his career and with his generous help that such gems became known in the soil of Kolhapur at that time.
- Ravi Rajendra Pawar Ajay Devgan’s “Tanaji-the unsung warrior” movie trailer has been watched by a man ever since.
Who the guy ??? But “Kalamaharshi Baburao Painter”

Kalamaharshi remembers because when Indian cinema was watching the original, soda was observed in creep situations, Baburao Painters made a cinema on the bravery of Tanaji Malusare by a native fake camera.
In those days the camera would get out of the country, wherein it was extremely expensive. Therefore, Baburao understood the reverse mechanism of the projector and made the camera himself. At present, the power of the internet is in the hands of all the camera parts can be bought online, yet how can one still make their own camera on the date ??? From this, you can get an idea of how Baburao made the camera during the pre-independence period.
Later, when the money came and Baburao demanded a very expensive camera from the outside, what should these men have done first when the camera came in? So it completely opened up the hugely expensive camera, understood the mechanism inside and added it back to the camera. 😎
Five – Fifty Thousands Can You Explain That Your Camera Is Totally Open?
When Kalamaharshi directed Subedar Tanaji Malusarevar’s movie was screened in Mumbai, the storm started to become so big that the British had to arrange a policy for surveillance. For the first time ever, the British saw a black eye on cinematic income. And from that movie, the entertainment tax was imposed on movies.
